If it is true that one in eight people face food insecurity, one of your neighbors is likely going hungry tonight. Food pantries are reporting decreased giving by as much as 50%, with needs increasing and resources diminishing.
World Food Day is an internationally observed event seeking to impact hunger and raise awareness of the needs of those in our communities who do not know where their next meal will come from.Operation: World Food Day – Winchester is an annual event headed by local volunteers. Now in its third year, the project seeks to raise 1,500 items for the pantry at St. Paul’s on the Hill in Winchester. Previous drives have benefited CCAP and the Highland Food Pantry.
