Dr. Roo Makosky graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
Prior to that she graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and did graduate studies in molecular biology and genetics at the University of Virginia. Her career has encompassed both general small animal practice and emergency and critical care. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Dr. Makosky enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but recently is most focused on preventative care, behavior issues, and seniors. She feels it is important to develop a care plan that best fits patient and client needs to best care for the pet.
Dr. Makosky lives with her husband, 2 sons, cats, dogs, and chickens. She enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, and cheering for her boys at their events.
